Myself Santosh phase (Vastu Maharishi, numerologist D.P.E.D.B.M.) from Sangli Maharashtra. Since 2018 we have been continuously servicing people in Vastu Shastra as well as numerology through “Atharv Vaastu Services”. “Vrihad Vastu Shastra Ek Mahagranth” is very famous as well as the best seller book on Vastu Shastra in Hindi language. I had the opportunity to work as co-author of this book.

This book was released in 2018 Notion press Madras. It is a very large text on the subject of Vastu Shastra and almost all the principles of Vastu Shastra mentioned in it in great depth. The original author of this book is my guruji as well as world famous Vastu consultant Dr.Anand Bhardwaj (New Delhi).

On December 2023 I have been honoured with gold medal at New Delhi events for this work of vastu shastra.

Vastu Shastra

Vastu Shastra is an ancient science over 5000 of years old, many saints, Rishis, & Gurus imparted knowledge on the subject of Vastu Shastra & their contribution to this subject is very high.

First of all, SHREE BRAHMAJI gave this knowledge to MAHARISHI, VISHWAKARMA JI & it was he who designed it & created the basic principles & rules of Vastu Shastra. Panchatattva & directions were selected to give the basic shape to the principles & accordingly a listed plan was prepared & after some time this manual was born as the main principal of Vastu Shastra.

Maharishi VISHWAKARMAJI is the real father of Vastu Shastra because human welfare was the main motive behind the establishment of Vastu Shastra. Vastu Shastra is mentioned in many ancient books like Vishkarma Prakash, Vastu Ratnavali, Mayamatam, Samrangan Sutradhar etc. Many such books shed light on the subject of Vastu Shastra in-depth, propagate & spread the wonderful knowledge of Vastu Shastra.

When the word Vastu Shastra is dissected, At that time you get three words i.e,

VAS + ASTU + SHASTRA = VASTUSHASTRA.

In this ‘Vas’ means every thing existing in creation & the word ‘Astu’ means in such a way & ‘Shastra’ means in a particular way or manner, in such a way it means in a particular manner,

वस + अस्तु + शास्त्र = वास्तु शास्त्र

Now it is very clear that living dwelling according to the law of direction is “Vastu Shastra”

When VISHWAKARMA JI created vastu siddhant, he made the directions the main pillars and he connected all these principles with the directions, which is why the directions gained unique importance in Vastu Shastra.

When discussing directions, knowledge of the four major directions i.e, East, West, North, and South is necessary, but when the two major directions meets the upadisha is considered very important in vastu shastra.

When the East & North meet this direction is known as ISHAN CORNER, similarly when East & South meet the direction is considered as FIRE CORNER(Agni Kon) and when south and west meets it is called as EARTH CORNER(Naritya Corner). West is central & North is between the direction which is formed by the union of these is called AIR CORNER(Vayu Kon).

The four major directions and its four sub-directions make a total of eight directions . The ninth direction is located in the center of the plot or the house and is known as BRAHMASTHAN. The tenth direction is another one that is deeper into the soil from the normal level of the plot and is called PATAL Directions.

The five elements of creation, which we call the Panchmahabhutas, include water, fire, earth, air, and sky in the North/East, South/East, South/West, North/West and Brahmasthan. Due to the fact that the main factors of this creations are included in these directions. These directions have gained more importance in Vastu Shastra.

The sub-directions are more important than the main directions. These upadishas are identified in the form of Pancharatta.

North-East (Ishan Corner): The entire part of any plot or house from the east center to the north center is known as NorthEast Corner i.e. Ishan corner. This upadisha is characterized by mild & gentle qualities. The benefit of the gentle & useful rays after sunrise is greater in this place. So this corner is considered more important than any other corner. That is why it is recommended in vastu shastra to make Devghar, Children’s room, Yoga, Study, Family or Living room at this place.

South-East Corner (Agni Kon): The entire region from the middle of east or middle of south is known as Agni Kon, which is slightly hotter than the other corners. This is why it is highly recommended to build the kitchen at this place. You can also make Theater, T.V. room, Home theater, Store, Bar, Guest room, etc.

South-West Corner (Earth Corner): According to Vastu Shastra, the entire area from the south center to the west center is known as the south-west corner i.e., Earth corner. This is where making a master bedroom proves very beneficial. If the person who is the senior or earner in the house makes a bedroom in this place for getting up, sitting and sleeping, it proves more beneficial for him.

North-West (Vayu Kon): The entire area from the west center to the north center is known as Vayu Kon. In this direction, the circulation of air is highest compared to the rest of the directions. Due to which this place receives more open air, it is because of this feature that it is recommended to make a guest room, children room, etc.

Brahmasthan(Space/Akashtattva): According to Vastu Shastra, it is the very central part of any plot or house. This part should be more open and weightless. Brahmasthan is generally one-third area of its length & width. As this is a very sensitive area, it is prohibited to move heavy items like Columns, Boring, Toilets, Kitchen, etc.

Numerology
